About me

My name is Pete Carrasquillo and I am an Industrial Designer and furniture maker.

I have ten years of product development experience. A skilled “systems thinker” with a proven ability to problem solve and innovate. Adept at encouraging creative thinking and fostering constructive communication within cross-functional teams. Experienced with all stages of the product development process, from initial market research to launch, and on through “continuous improvement” analyses. I possess an effective and well refined set of digital and analog design skills, as well as a strong sense of empathy, endless curiosity, and a habit of continuous learning.

My personal interest is in designing and building furniture and architectural elements.  I began making pieces for myself out of both need and curiosity, but that soon lead to building residential and business pieces for others.  I tend to use steel frames that support and showcase solid hardwood, and I prefer to use finishes that preserve the natural, open-grain feel of the wood.
